Court awards damages for spam

Gordon Dick has won £750 in the Edinburgh Sherriff’s (small claims) court against  Henley-on-Thames based Transcom, for sending him spam. He was also awarded costs of £616.66.

Gordon Dick now runs an anti-spam campaign scotchspam.org.uk. Recent court successes against spammers include a similar victory by Nigel Roberts, and Microsoft’s injunction against a company selling lists of e-mail addresses.
