Vorboss Announced as a Gold LINX ConneXions Partner

Leading fibre provider Vorboss have climbed to Gold partner status at LINX. Vorboss have been at the exchange since 2012, and following their 2019 acquisition of fellow LINX member Ai Networks, Vorboss also found themselves with an additional reseller port, meaning they could increase their product range to now include remote peering services.

Timothy Creswick, Vorboss CEO, commented: “Becoming a Gold ConneXions Partner at LINX was fantastic news for us. Seeing an increase in traffic through our 100GB port played a huge part in this momentous status upgrade. France and the Netherlands call for Tech Platforms to be Regulated

As the European Commission continues to prepare a new Digital Services Act, France and the Netherlands have launched a joint proposal calling for European regulators to be given powers to regulate large tech platforms such as Alphabet, Facebook and Amazon to prevent them from abusing their dominant market position.

“Our common ambition is to design a framework that will be efficient enough to address the economic footprint of such actors on the European economy and to be able to ‘break them open,’” Cédric O, the secretary of state for digital transition in France, said in a statement.

“Access to data, to services, interoperability … these are efficient tools that we should be able to use, with a tailor-made approach, in order to tackle market foreclosure and ensure freedom of choice for consumers,” he added.
