LINX Manchester MA5 is now Live!

LINX have successfully completed their expansion of their Manchester network into new Equinix data centre facility known as MA5.

LINX Manchester has a multi-site set up with physical switches in four data centres across the city, including existing Equinix facilities MA1 (Joule House) and MA3 (Williams House).

LINX Manchester was the first LINX exchange to be launched outside of London and it has grown significantly in the last two years, from traffic peaks of 174Gbps in November of 2020 to now regularly surpassing 300Gbps.

The expansion into Equinix MA5 is expected to encourage even further growth for the exchange as the site is predicted to facilitate the next generation of digital transformation.

2023 LINX ConneXions Reseller Award Winners Announced

At LINX118 we announced the recipients of our LINX ConneXions Reseller Partner Awards. This part of the agenda was to congratulate and thank our top performing partners for their support and introducing LINX.

We work closely with our reseller partners. Not only does this give global networks a route to a LINX interconnection hub to access peering and other services but we add additional value to their existing product offering.

And the winners are…

The awards were presented by LINX’s Inga Turner.

Stelia Joins LINX in London and Manchester

The London Internet Exchange (LINX) are pleased to welcome Stelia, powered by ICONIC Networks, as a member and reseller partner of their interconnection hubs in London and Manchester.

Tobias Hooton, CEO of ICONIC says:

“Not only do we believe LINX services are of advantage of providers in outer London regions, we’re seeing active requirements for this. This is partly due to our drive with regional Alt Nets and our presence in connecting these businesses together. The ability to connect an edge business in Liverpool directly to the heart of the UK’s internet ecosystem at LINX, and immediately on to application and platform providers, really is a critical enabler for agile internet services.”
