LINX Protect
A DDoS attack floods your network with more traffic than it can handle, exhausting bandwidth, server resources or application capacity until legitimate users cannot get through. LINX Protect uses Remotely Triggered Black Hole filtering to drop that traffic at the exchange, before it reaches your infrastructure and consumes the capacity you need for everything else.
Protection built into your membership
Included with membership
No additional fee. LINX Protect is part of membership for every network peering through the LINX route servers.
No added infrastructure
No appliance and no scrubbing service to run alongside your network. Protection happens at the exchange, triggered by a BGP community you announce from your own routers.
Available everywhere
LINX Protect runs at every LINX interconnection point, so protection does not depend on which location you connect at.
Built with members
LINX Protect was developed with our members, and continues to be shaped by the networks using it.
What to know
Who can use it
All LINX members peering via the LINX route servers.
How it works

Uptime and reliability
Helps maintain uptime and service reliability by reducing the impact of malicious traffic on your network.
