LINX LON2

LINX LON2 is built on a leaf-spine topology using EVPN over VXLAN. LON2 eliminates single points of failure by design, automatically rerouting traffic. Accessible from 17 data centre locations across London, LON2 is built for networks where resilience and uptime are non-negotiable.

Peering
Peering is when two or more networks connect directly to exchange internet traffic, making it faster and more efficient, reducing latency, and improving network reliability and speed.
At LINX, members can connect with hundreds of other networks through a trusted, high-performance platform. This direct interconnection improves network performance, enables greater control over traffic flows, and makes it simple to expand connectivity as demand grows.

Private VLAN
Private VLAN lets you securely separate and manage multiple network connections over a single physical port, helping to protect sensitive data and ensure efficient network management.
LINX's Private VLAN service offers a flexible, carrier-neutral platform that allows members to maintain private, isolated connections within the LINX infrastructure.

Private VLAN
Closed User Group
Closed User Group enables members to establish a private, secure Layer 2 network connecting multiple sites, partners, or customers, facilitating controlled and efficient traffic exchange.
This service offers enhanced security, simplified management, and flexible scalability, all within LINX's trusted infrastructure.

Closed User Group
DDoS Mitigation
LINX Protect is our dedicated DDoS mitigation service, included with route server membership, designed to help keep member networks secure and running smoothly. Available to all members peering via LINX route servers, it works by identifying and blocking malicious traffic during a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.
By using Remotely Triggered Black Hole filtering, it diverts harmful traffic away from your infrastructure, minimising disruption, maintaining service availability, and safeguarding your network.

Why Connect at LON2

LON2 is engineered for resilience, performance, and scale. Built on a leaf-spine topology using EVPN over VXLAN, LON2 was designed from the ground up to eliminate single points of failure, making it the platform of choice for networks where uptime isn't optional.

Built-in resilience
LON2's leaf-spine architecture has no single point of failure. Traffic re-routes automatically, keeping your network connected even when individual links or nodes encounter issues.

Diverse from LON1
LON2 runs on different hardware and software to LON1, so connecting to both eliminates single points of failure and gives you genuine diversity across our two London LANs.

Redundancy across 17 locations
With 17 data centre locations across London, being present at more than one LON2 site gives you genuine diversity and strengthens your overall redundancy.

Lower network costs
Peering at LON2 becomes increasingly cost effective as your traffic volumes grow, with a single membership giving access to multiple services.

Lower latency
LON2 makes the route between you and other networks more direct — fewer hops, shorter paths, and traffic that stays closer to the end user.

Enhanced security
Greater control over your routing means a stronger security posture, minimising exposure to DDoS attacks and other network-level threats.
