Peering
Peering is when two or more networks connect directly to exchange internet traffic, making it faster and more efficient, reducing latency, lowering transit costs, and improving network reliability and speed.
At LINX, members can connect with hundreds of other networks through a trusted, high-performance platform. This direct interconnection improves network performance, enables greater control over traffic flows, and makes it simple to expand connectivity as demand grows.

Microsoft Azure Peering Service
Microsoft Azure Peering Service (MAPS) provides a direct connection between your network and Microsoft's cloud services. It ensures optimal routing for Microsoft 365, Teams, and other Azure applications, offering low-latency, highly reliable performance for business-critical traffic.
By routing direct through LINX's infrastructure, you get a low latency connection, reliable uptime, and advanced security that simply isn't possible when using public internet connections.

Private VLAN
Private VLAN lets you securely separate and manage multiple network connections over a single physical port, helping to protect sensitive data and ensure efficient network management.
LINX's Private VLAN service offers a flexible, carrier-neutral platform that allows members to maintain private, isolated connections within the LINX infrastructure.

Cloud Connect
LINX's Cloud Connect provides secure, low-latency, direct connections to Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud services, and more through LINX's existing network infrastructure.
This service ensures reliable uptime and greater control over your traffic, offering enhanced performance compared to public internet connections.

Colocation
Colocation enables you to host your infrastructure within professionally managed data centres, providing secure, scalable, and reliable environments for your equipment.
By colocating with LINX, you gain seamless access to high-performance interconnection services and the opportunity to connect directly with a diverse community of networks and partners.

Closed User Group
Closed User Group enables members to establish a private, secure Layer 2 network connecting multiple sites, partners, or customers, facilitating controlled and efficient traffic exchange.
This service offers enhanced security, simplified management, and flexible scalability, all within LINX's trusted infrastructure.

DDoS Mitigation
LINX Protect is our free dedicated DDoS mitigation service, designed to help keep member networks secure and running smoothly. Available to all members peering via LINX route servers, it works by identifying and blocking malicious traffic during a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack.
By using Remotely Triggered Black Hole filtering, it diverts harmful traffic away from your infrastructure, minimising disruption, maintaining service availability, and safeguarding your network.

Why Connect at LON1
LON1 consists of two separate high-performance Ethernet switching fabrics accessible from 17 data centre locations across London. Designed for networks that demand performance, choice, and a thriving peering community.
Connect with hundreds of networks
LON1 gives you direct access to hundreds of member networks across a broad range of industries, regions, and network types — all through a single, trusted interconnection platform.
Flexible port options
LON1 supports a wide range of port speeds and bandwidths, from 10GE through to 400GE, so you can scale as your traffic grows.
Redundancy across 17 locations
With 17 data centre locations across London, connecting at more than one LON1 site gives you genuine path diversity and strengthens your overall network resilience.
Lower network costs
Peering at LON1 becomes increasingly cost effective as your traffic volumes grow, with a single membership giving access to multiple services across the LINX platform.
Lower latency
LON1 makes the route between you and other networks more direct — fewer hops, shorter paths, and traffic that stays closer to the end user.
Enhanced security
Greater control over your routing means a stronger security posture, minimising exposure to DDoS attacks and other network-level threats.
