LINX NoVA
LINX NoVA - The Facts
The London Internet Exchange launched LINX NoVA back in 2014, the demand from the peering community was there and the location ideal in the largest peering point in North America. LINX NoVA is not connected back to our exchange in London. It is our mission to keep traffic local as this gives the fastest exchange of traffic and as a result, the best service to our members.

LINX NoVA is located at three sites: Digital Realty in Ashburn, Coresite in Reston and Iron Mountain in Manassas. Being data center neutral gives our members choice of colocation provider and carrier. It also enables us to improve our redundancy and increase the resilience of the exchange. Having chosen the best site for them our members are able to reach all other peers on the network regardless of which data center they are located in.
So what makes the Northern Virginia area so special?
• Ashburn is the communications gateway to Europe
• 70% of the World’s Internet traffic passes through
• The new BRUSA subsea cable terminates in the U.S. directly into the new Virginia Beach Landing Station, offering one of the lowest latency communication links between the US and Brazil.
• 9 out of 10 of the top global content networks located in the region
