New IX-API Feature Release for LINX MAPS and Cloud Connect Services

The London Internet Exchange (LINX) have released a further update to version 2 of their IX-API, the open industry standard software designed with fellow Internet Exchanges, AMS-IX and DE-CIX.

The IX-API provides a common interface for networks to provision key services at multiple Internet Exchanges (IXs).

This latest version of the API allows LINX members to order and edit cloud connect services and also the Microsoft Azure Peering Service

Riccardo Verzeni, Director of Software Engineering says;

“We are working towards closing the gap between our IX-API and Portal user experience. This release brings us a step closer.”

LINX launched their version 2.0 back in June 2022 which allowed networks connected to their LANs and who adopt the API, to order and edit peering services as well as private VLAN and closed user groups.
