LINX Member Portal Self-Service Edit Features (Part 3) – Future Developments

The LINX Member Portal, and its self-service functionality, is a technically advanced system that allows LINX member networks greater control over the provisioning of services on their ports. The on-demand features simplify processes and frees up time for both the member, and LINX teams.

The self-service functionality was initially launched in Q4 2022 with enhanced product and service order forms. This allowed users to choose between different options and see pricing information updated in real-time. This means they can select the preferred service at a price that best meets their budget.

You can learn more about the initial phase of development here.

The development of the LINX Member Portal is an ongoing process with more features being added over time. We are progressively working on incorporating new features which will in turn boost reliance and usership of the portal self-service features. The aim is to make everything ‘on demand’ including re-wiring the IX-API to use the same background features and end-to-end automation.

LINX is looking to introduce an online matrix to show what can and can’t be done on the portal with timelines for new features yet to be introduced. Individual services can be linked and labelled ‘enabled’ or ‘coming soon’ with expected dates (i.e. Q2 2023).

This is the part of a trilogy of blogs on the self-service edit features on the LINX Member Portal. Read our two previous blogs for a full overview of the functionality available in this latest phase of development.

The aim of all these upgrades is to further improve the ease of doing business with LINX, with the benefit of shorter notice and invoice periods for updates on member networks.

As Riccardo Verzeni, LINX’s Director of Software Engineering, says, “Where once network changes could take days and hours to implement, it now takes minutes and seconds.“

The ultimate aim is to constantly improve the ease of the process of doing business with LINX for our member networks.
